Outside, a driveway circles through a nicely landscaped yard. A flagstone walkway, tucked between woodland gardens leads to a small covered porch with benches on either side.

Inside the house is a spacious foyer with a coat closet, a built-in bench, and a built-in buffet. Over the buffet, a large window provides a view across the deck to the mountains beyond. A door to the left of the buffet allows direct access to the deck.

The other longer trail passes through the wooded fringe of the front lawn, some distance from the house, and winds gently downhill through the woods and past giant granite boulders. Just above Slide Brook is a three- sided Adirondack lean-to for cookouts or overnight stays. A fireplace not far away serves another camping area, where one could pitch a tent or two.

"Slide Brook Classic" is located just 30 minutes to the quaint Village of Lake Placid and its Olympic venues. Skiing at the Olympic ski center, Whiteface Mountain, is also just 30 minutes away. The International airports at Albany, New York, Burlington, Vermont and Montreal, Canada are all just a two hour drive away.
